Applications are invited for a suitably qualified person to fill the position of Technical Advisor with the Insurance Council of St. Lucia.
Qualifications, Experience & Requirements
The successful applicant
- Must possess a Diploma or Certificate in Auto Mechanics
- Should have at least five years’ experience in the same field
- Should demonstrate managerial skills and ability to prepare reports
- Is expected to carry out an annual inspection of garages based on a criteria provided by the Insurance Council in November of each year in conjunction with inspectors from the Ministry of Infrastructure, the St. Lucia Solid Waste Management Authority and the St. Lucia Fire & Emergency Services - who will determine which garages will be eligible to carry out various categories of work on behalf of the Insurance Council and the Ministry of Infrastructure
- Must liaise with approved and new garages, proprietors on behalf of the Insurance Council of St. Lucia on matters of mutual interest
- Investigate and lodge all complaints to the Insurance Council’s Office
- Attend monthly motor sub-committee meetings
- Advise the Insurance Council of St. Lucia on matters of a technical nature involving vehicle valuations, vehicle inspection reports and repair estimates by garages
- Must own a motor vehicle
- Any other matters affecting motor insurers and the motoring public
